The UW-Whitewater baseball team completed a sweep of Friday’s doubleheader with an 11-6 win in game-two. The Hawks won the opener 10-4. the Warhawks have clinched second place in the WIAC. UWSP swept its twinbill vs. UW-Stout 10-1 and 12-3. For Whitewater to win the regular season title outright the Hawks would need to sweep UWL Saturday and UWSP would need to win both games vs. Stout.
A Whitewater sweep and split by UWSP tomorrow would mean the WIAC would have WIAC co-champions. Stevens Point would win the tiebreaker and would host next weekend’s WIAC postseason baseball tournament..
