The UW-Whitewater baseball team awaits Marian University (Fond du Lac) for a non-conference doubleheader Thursday (4/2) at newly renovated Purcha Field at Jim Miller Stadium.
Marian University dropped the final two games of their spring trip to Arizona on Sunday to Gustavus Adolphus College. The Gusties came back and won game one 9-7 and finished the afternoon with a 9-2 victory. Marian is now 1-7 on the season.
The Sabres open the “North” portion of its scheduled Tuesday (3/30) afternoon at Ripon College. The Warhawks are coming off a doubleheader sweep of Ripon (11-1/3-1) last Saturday in Whitewater’s home opener. Jon Vodenlich's squad will take a 10-1 record into Thursday's doubleheader.
First pitch in game-one of Thursday’s doubleheader is set for 1 p.m.
