March 25th WIAC Scoreboard


With opening day of the WIAC season less than a week away a number of teams are winding up preconference spring games.

On Wednesday (3/25) at the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome in Minneapolis UW-Oshkosh split its fifth consecutive doubleheader under the dome. The Titans won the opener, 2-1, over Bethany Lutheran (Mankato, Minn). The Vikings came back for a 6-2 victory over UWO in the nightcap.

Oshkosh is now 5 & 5 on the season with all ten games (5 DHs) played at the Metrodome. Five of the 10 games have been one-run games with the Titans winning its first one-run game on Thursday (3/25) in its 2-1 victory over Bethany Lutheran.

The Titans have scheduled doubleheaders: (4/2)vs. Lawrence University at Oshkosh for UWO's first outdoor games of the season. The following day, (4/3) the Titans travel to DePere to play two against St. Norbert College.

Meanwhile down in Florida...

UW-Stevens Point won a pair of games wrapping up the Pointers 2010 Florida trip.
In Thursday morning's first game, UWSP defeated Allegheny College (Penn) 2-1). Later in the day, the Pointers beat Lawrence University (Appleton, WI) 7-3 to wrap up the Pointer's 2010 Forida schedule. Point won five of the seven games played in central Florida the past week, including four of its final five games.

UW-Stevens Point will play a pair of nonconference doubleheaders (3/28 at St. Norbert & 4/3 at Ripon College) prior the the Pointers' WIAC opening day doubleheader April 7th at Oshkosh.
