Field filling up for NCAA Division III Midwest Regional this week in Whitewater

The playoff field for this week's NCAA Division III Midwest Regional that opens on Wednesday on Prucha Field at James B. Miller Stadium on the campus of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater is filling up.

WIAC
- UW-Stevens Point (32-8) is the WIAC's automatic qualifer
- UW-Whitewater (32-11) will be a strong candidate for a Pool C at-large bid

MIAC
- Hamline College (28-13) is the MIAC's automatic qualifer (beat UST 7-5 in MIAC championship game).
- St. Thomas (27-15) and Macalester (26-14) will be considered for a Pool C at-large bid.

Upper Midwest Athletic Conference
- The College of St. Scholastica (35-5) is the automatic qualifier
The Saints captured it's 15th straight UMAC Tournament title, defeating Bethany Lutheran by a 26-2 final at Wade Stadium on Friday.

Midwest Conference
- Ripon College (20-18) earns the MWC automatic NCAA bid (defeated Beloit College 11-9 in Sunday's MWC championship game)
-Beloit College (27-12) will earn consideration for a Pool C at-large bid.

Northern Athletics Conference
- Aurora College (29-12) is currenly playing Concordia-Chicago (35-9) for the NAC's automatic bid.

- Whichever team wins, the other will be considered for a Pool C at-large bid.

The NCAA Division III field will be announced on Monday.
