UW-Whitewater 11, UW-Stout 5 in Monday's game-one in Menomonie

As I blogged following yesterday’s doubleheader split with UW-Stout - all the focus would be on today’s (Monday’s) opening game of the day-two doubleheader vs. UW-Stout in Menomonie.

A 1st inning two run homer by Andrew Eichstaedt and seven runs in the opening two innings ignited the conference-leading UW-Whitewater baseball team to an 11-5 victory in game-one of today’s doubleheader.

Justin Lambert (see adjacent photo) gave the Warhawks a solid pitching performance in the opener. The sophomore out of Mount Horeb pitched six strong innings to improve his season record to 3 & 1.

Game-two is coming up.

Much more on today’s action will be coming up later today here on voiceseyeonbaseball.blogspot.com.
