Warhawks top nation in three statistical categories

The UW-Whitewater baseball team (18-1, 6-0) enters today's doubleheader at UW-Plattville with a game-an-a-half lead over UW-Stevens Point (3-2, 12-6) and UW-Oshkosh (3-2, 10-9) in the WIAC standings.

An interesting scenario today has Stevens Point at Oshkosh for two games. The two teams must also complete last week's suspended game in the fifth inning due to inclement weather. Point currently leads the Titans 11-1.

The Warhawks, who beat Platteville 15-2 and 7-6 last Friday in Platteville will enter today's action at Kendall Murray Field leading the nation in batting average (.402), scoring (12.5 runs per game, and winning percentage (.947 18-1).

I am not able to be in Platteville for today's twin bill, but I will be keeping my blog readers updated as the games proceed.
