• Scott Williams threw a complete game eight-hitter and the Pointers scored three runs in the second and three in the sixth to salvage a series split with the Green Knights of St. Norbert College, taking game two 8-1. The Pointers dropped game one 5-4. The doubleheader was played in DePere. Point will open the WIAC on Wednesday with a doubleheader at Oshkosh.

St. Norbert 9, UW-Oshkosh 2 (Game Two)

• UW-Oshkosh’s early season woes continue losing both games of a doubleheader Saturday afternoon at St. Norbert College. With the two losses, the Titans will take a sub-.500 record into next Wednesday’s WIAC opening doubleheader vs. UW-Stevens Point in Oshkosh

UW-Stout 29, Finlandia 1 (Game One)
UW-Stout 6, Finlandia 5 (Game Two)

• The Blue Devils (5-6) won the opener 29-1 in record-setting fashion, sending 25 batters to the plate in the first inning while scoring 20 first inning runs, but in the nightcap, Stout needed to come from behind to take a 6-5 win in the bottom of the seventh in Menomonie.
