To get one walk-off hit in a day is news. Getting a walk-off hit in both games of a doubleheader is "break into programming" news.
Between games of Thursday's baseball doubleheader, UW-Platteville third baseman Aaron Hopson was asked if he had a minute to talk about his three-run walk-off home run that gave the Pioneers a 15-14 win over Loras in 11 innings.
"Hmm, can we wait until after the second game?" Hopson deferred.
It was like he knew what was coming.
Hopson (delivered his second walk-off hit of the day in the nightcap, a two-run, two-out single down the left-field line that lifted the Pioneers to an 11-10 win and a sweep.

The dramatic wins came in the 2010 UW-Platteville home opener.
The Pioneers will take an 8-3 record into Friday's twinbill at Carroll. UW-P will host UW-Whitewater on Wednesday in a WIAC opening day doubleheader.
